Judge blocks supermarket mega-merger – CBS News

On Tuesday, a proposed mega-merger between two of America’s largest supermarket chains was blocked in the courts. The deal would have seen Kroger acquire rival Albertsons for $25 billion, but government regulators argue it would stifle competition and increase the price of food.
