Notts County captain Matt Palmer has signed a new contract to keep him with the League Two club until the end of the 2026-27 season.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The 29-year-old midfielder has been with the Magpies for three years and played an integral role in their promotion from the National League in the 2022-23 campaign.
Palmer missed most of last season with an ACL injury but has has made 19 appearances in all competitions so far in this campaign.
“Matt has been a crucial player for many seasons now and his unfortunate recent absence only further highlighted his importance to the team,” a club statement said, external.
“He is a magnificent midfielder who we believe can continue to be a mainstay in our team as we look to progress up the pyramid – and we know he shares those ambitions.
“We’re proud to call him our captain and we look forward to having him with us for the foreseeable future.”
Notts County are currently sixth in League Two and four points off the automatic promotion spots ahead of their game against Colchester United this weekend.
