Vikramaditya Motwane SLAMS Pushpa 2 In The Latest Post
On Instagram, Motwane shared his disappointment about the distribution imbalance between the two films. He congratulated Kapadia on her remarkable Golden Globe recognition, but his post revealed his anger at the industry’s prioritisation of commercial blockbusters over smaller, critically acclaimed films.
In his Instagram story, Motwane wrote, “And yet, Payal’s incredible success will mean f**k all to us because we will throw her film out, not let it breathe or find an audience, and will have 36 shows a day of one film in a single multiplex. Congratulations. We deserve this (sic).”
He posted a screenshot of the multiple screenings of Pushpa 2, highlighting the vast number of showings for one film while All We Imagine As Light struggles for attention.
While Motwane’s comments were sharp and direct, the makers of Pushpa 2 have not responded to the criticism yet.
